I felt that my opinion was valued strongly by Krista and that she took my concerns or thoughts into consideration.
Krista cared for our daughter who was hospitalized with RSV/pneumonia/respiratory distress. She showed great knowledge on our daughter's condition and was able to answer our questions and thoroughly explain everything that was happening to us. I am an RN as well, and it was awesome to have the nurse caring for our daughter not only view me as her patient's mother, but also as someone to collaborate and brainstorm with. I felt that my opinion was valued strongly by Krista and that she took my concerns or thoughts into consideration. She was such a caring and compassionate nurse to our daughter. Our daughter cried most of the time when different staff came in to do what they needed to do, but she quickly trusted Krista and viewed her as a safe person. We never felt like we were bothering Krista with our needs or questions. She often stayed in the room with us to visit and get to know us better. Of all of the nurses that I have both worked with myself and also have cared for us, she has stood out among them all.
