Krista Howe made my experience extremely comforting. I had found out some excruciating news after having my first severe surgery. She could not have gone about telling me the news with the surgical resident any smoothly than she did. After finding out the news and in shock, she knew exactly how to comfort me and knew the right words to say. She didn't just comfort me the right way, I could tell she was very genuine and meaningful and that she cares for her patients. She's always optimistic no matter what kind of day I was having and always brought a smile to my face. The fact that I had no family physically there for me, she treated me as if I was a part of her own family. I would really like to take a minute to thank her and recognize the care and compassion she has. Throughout the recovery of my severe surgery, there is not one specific event that I encountered with Krista Howe that didn't touch me because every time I saw her, she made me smile no matter what type of day I was having. She made my stay in the hospital more than welcoming and always knew how to calm my anxiety down no matter what it was about. I could not have asked for a better nurse to be by my side during the worst time of my life.
