Krista really made the patient feel very comfortable, as he was a very scared 84 year old farmer that was never sick and never had been hospitalized. She also makes the family feel right at home and feel safe with the patient.

While manager for respiratory care services on the Augusta Campus, Krista was acknowledged by therapists during rounding each month. In April a patient without insurance needed a bipap unit. Krista was aware of a unit not being used-she brought it in and gave it to the patient. This bipap was like new! She was continually noted for her communication style and skill. She continually acknowledges the entire healthcare team relaying information in a thoughtful and positive manner and tone. Krista ensures her co-workers whether it is nursing, respiratory, PT, OT lab, physician or x-ray have the tools they need to perform the job. I have sent many thank you notes to Krista providing her with positive feedback. Krista is a model nurse-being a resource & role model while providing excellent patient care.
