Nurse Kris Murtagh saw me in line in the hallway gurney line up waiting for the OR. She said she did not think I would have her in the OR but she saw that I looked worried. Imagine that. She was so kind and sweet, reassuring me that everything was going to be ok, that I was in great hands and had nothing to worry about. Her kind words and pat on the shoulder was a small gesture that helped at a critical time. She wasn't even my nurse, just a concerned individual. We all need more of these type of people surrounding us. Kris is special.
