Kristen Alexander came into my son’s room and spent lots of time getting to know us and making my son feel comfortable. It made me feel much better about leaving him in their care when he went for his procedure. She instilled confidence in us, even though she, herself, was young. She was super sweet and really made a difference in our experience!
Kristen does an exceptional job of bonding with patients during a brief pre-procedure period experience as demonstrated in this example. Her sweet demeanor and caring attitude puts individuals instantly at ease. She often gets the patient’s back story during the short pre-procedure period, holding the patient to make them more comfortable and secure in her care. She definitely sets the stage for the patient experience with her positive presence and attunement with both the patient and their family.
Families are fearful when coming to the hospital, especially when a child is involved. Kristen exemplifies the ability to see an individual as a person and ultimately turn what was previously a not-so-good situation into a positive one. She definitely exudes the RBC and See Me as a Person philosophies and incorporates these naturally into her care.
