I can never thank her enough for just that one small thing she did for me. I am forever grateful for these photos and memories during a chaotic experience for me.
Kristen was extremely friendly, approachable, intelligent, and caring in all her job duties during my labor and delivery. Right away she introduced herself and asked questions about my husband and me, which baby this was for us, any wants or needs we would like during delivery, and anything else she can help assist with. I informed her of a difficult previous delivery I had and how important it was to me to have videos/photos of this birth, no matter how the baby came into the world! She completely understood and answered many other questions I had along the way.
When I needed pain medication, she was quick to answer my call and get the pain medication I desired to me quickly and efficiently.
During labor, she was right by my side coaching me with positive affirmations and guidance. When the tough call was made to go into a C-section, she encouraged me through tears and frustration and was helpful to my husband with getting prepped and dressed. One of the best things she did for me was take photos and videos of my son being born via C-section. This was extremely important to me to have and she went above and beyond to make sure I got some once-in-a-lifetime photos and videos. I can never thank her enough for just that one small thing she did for me. I am forever grateful for these photos and memories during a chaotic experience for me.
She continued to be amazing during the rest of my C-section after my son was out, she helped my husband initiate skin-to-skin with our son, she helped me hold him since my arms were a little numb from the medicines, and she continued to tell me how amazing we did and how perfect our baby was. She was always genuine and kind in all her words and actions.
During recovery, Kristen was thorough with me on what medicines she was giving to me, helping me stand for the first time after my surgery, holding and caring for our son during hourly vitals, and being gentle and helpful to me during my hourly vitals.
I can't say enough good things about Kristen, I had amazing nursing and doctor staff during our entire stay of labor/delivery but Kristen stood out for her genuine kindness and heartfelt care. I wish I could have had her as my nurse for the following days in recovery! Fargo Essentia is lucky to have her!
