Kristen is an exceptional nurse and shows true compassion to all of her patients. This is just one example of how she is an exemplary nurse that shows commitment, advocacy, respect, and excellence in nursing.

In HBPC we work with home-bound patients who have difficulty getting to the VA. As such, we have provided the COVID vaccine to patients in the home. Kristen has a few patients who refused the vaccine for various reasons including some that have odd beliefs about the COVID vaccine. Kristen took the time to look up each patient's claim against the vaccine and provided them with research against each claim to help convince patients to get the COVID vaccine. She has helped educate her patients about the COVID vaccine and answer all of their questions to make them feel comfortable enough to be vaccinated.

Kristen's above and beyond efforts have helped change a few patients' minds to now get the COVID vaccine!! Kristen is truly a wonderful nurse and we are so lucky to have her in HBPC.
