Kristen came into my room and took care of me going above and beyond. She excitedly announced that she had a real patient bed rather than a stretcher. Also, rather than needing to move me from my room in the middle of the night, she cleaned and set up another room that was closer. The bed was made and warm blankets were awaiting my arrival. After I got settled in, she offered to share her supper for the night so I wouldn't do without. This is kindness in the true sense of the word. It made me feel cared about and cared for, not just another coughing, sick patient coming to get help. I will always remember her kindness in my time of need.
