Kristen Dash, RN
Kristen Dash is an active member of the NICU Team and the March of Dimes in South Florida. Every NICU parent is faced with fear, confusion, questions, anxiety, and sadness. They question "why my baby?" Kristen understands. Not only is Kristen a caring NICU Nurse she also was a Mommy of a NICU baby. Kristen knows how her patients feel. Kristen understands every emotion that NICU parents experience. Kristen bonds with the baby's parents. She speaks to them in words and language that they can understand. Kristen celebrates with the parents with every milestone the baby makes. Kristen comforts when there is a decline in the baby's progress. Kristen also takes her passion for the NICU to the community by being part of the March of Dimes in South Florida. Kristen designed and sold Preemie Tee Shirts. With each tee shirt sold, Kristen added funds for continued research for Neonatal Care. Memorial Hospital West, with strong support from Kristen, raised $11,000 for March of Dimes during the 2021 pandemic. A hard year for all but Kristen's passion was shared and everyone gave a little extra to benefit the neonates. Kristen is a true DAISY Nurse.
