Kristen Emenhiser, BSN, RN, CMSRN

Kristen Emenhiser was kind to me from the very first day I met her, and over time, she truly became a role model. She always made a point to ask me how I was doing and how my weekends were, and she often shared parts of her own life as well. That made me feel comfortable and genuinely connected to her.

One moment that really stood out to me was when she answered a call light for a frustrated patient. Instead of brushing it off or rushing through it, she pulled up a chair, listened to everything he had to say, and took the time to address each concern. By the end of the interaction, the patient was calm and very thankful. Watching her showed me what it truly means to be kind, patient, and present.

She was always willing to help anyone and made a point to include me in what she was doing, which made me feel empowered, supported, and truly thankful to be learning from her. She showed me the kind of nurse and the kind of person I hope to be one day.
