Unit directors have so much responsibility as it is, but Kristen also will pick up shifts on the floor and help anyone who asks. She is constantly looking for ways to ease our burdens, even if it means adding to hers. We never have to worry about feeling judged or ashamed for asking questions or giving suggestions. She encourages us to think from other perspectives and to continually grow and evolve.

Kristen encourages those around her to stay motivated and to see how important they are to the staff and patients around them. We call the Mother Baby Unit a family and I don't think Kristen gets enough credit for her amazing attitude to that family and the patients. Without an amazing leader like her we wouldn’t have the environment in the unit we have today.
