Kristen went above and beyond to ensure that her patient received the lifesaving treatment she needed despite the patient’s out-of-plan insurance. The patient’s plan switch was initiated but was not effective when the patient was admitted. Kristen worked hard and stayed overtime several times to ensure that she was going to be able to have the patient come back for the services she desperately needed. The patient’s day of discharge came, and Kristen coordinated with the necessary teams (MD, floor RNs, the Patient, UR, and PAC) to make sure that the patient would be able to come back the next day for her appointment. Kristen stayed with the patient as PAC made the plan change. Kristen even escorted the patient to her car with her family and made sure they drove away safely. Kristen truly went above and beyond for her patient.

Kristen is a caring and compassionate Nurse. She has a voice that can make anyone feel calm, at ease, and feel that they are in the best care possible. Kristen is ready to help her colleagues in any way she can and is ready for any situation that comes her way. Her positive attitude is a blessing to our staff and patients.
