I accompanied my grandson to the ER in Ottawa, Ks. The nurse who was taking his vitals for the doctor was not able to get his oxygen level or heart rate. We explained that R was autistic and non-verbal...and up past his nap time. She tried several ways, with no luck. After the doctor saw my grandson, the nurse came back in but brought another RN. Her name is Kristen. She was amazing. She entertained my grandson with the accompaniment of my daughter singing the baby shark song. She used the meter to pretend she had a little baby shark. This all allowed them to get the information they needed for the charts. She was a kind, understanding, and pleasant end to our visit! Kristen rocks!
