October 2018 Honoree
kristen healy, RN
Thursday, I had a cardiac ablation with Dr. B. Afterwards, they sent me to the fourth floor for a night's stay. I was blessed to have Kristen as my nurse. She was kind, considerate, attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and in short, a wonderful caregiver. Not only was she all of these things, but after Dr. B visited me in the room, he decided I could go home that evening. Kristen was scheduled to get off at 7 pm and said she would stop back by after filling the night nurse in on my situation. When she came by after 7 pm, I asked if everything was ready for me to go home. Unfortunately, Dr. B forgot to fill out my release authorization. Kristen stayed late and was able to contact the doctor and get my paperwork done. It was after 8 pm when I was released, and Kristen was there to make sure everything went smoothly and that I was OK.
I told her that if we were in a nice hotel, she would receive a big tip! I hope this conveys to you what a wonderful young lady and employee she is for SSM. She represents your hospital very well and is a great person to have on the "frontlines" of caregiving. Thank you for hiring such wonderful people as Kristen.

Thank you, Kristen, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
