A patient Kristen cared for recently on the Cardiac Medical Unit took special care to nominate her for the DAISY Award. In his nomination he stated that he wished to commend and thank Kristen for the outstanding care she provided during his hospitalization. He further commented that "Kristen was there when I was admitted and she eased me through a very frightening time. She woke me gently every morning, stood by while doctors spoke with me, and explained everything that was happening and why. I felt like she knew my questions, concerns, and fears, often before I did. She is a consummate professional, a caring individual and a wonderful human being."
