I was hospitalized for a few days and awaiting surgery. Besides, I was only four months after birth! Being separated from my newborn baby was hard emotionally and physically. I was pumping all the time but started developing a breast infection. An incredible lactation consultant came to help me out but what I needed as well, was simply to breastfeed. My nurse, Kristen, arranged for permission for my baby to be brought for a visit so I could breastfeed. She also arranged for someone to escort me during the visit, and for the clearance to be given to security. The feeding helped me so much. I am so grateful! Thank you, Kristen!
