Kristen Pallante, BSN, RN
Kristen Pallante went above and beyond for a patient who was on our unit for 4 Months. She cared for him often and bought him countless treats and even thought of him while grocery shopping at home.
Once he received permission from his care team, Kristen took him outside every shift she could. After spending four months on our unit, all he wanted was fresh air. They would sit outside, talk, and share bags of Skittles. As he prepared to go home on hospice, she went out of her way to give him the clean shave he had been asking for. She brought electric razors, shaved his beard, and even gave him a goatee. I could go on and on about the care Kristen provided. She consistently took extra steps to ensure he never felt like just a long-term patient, but truly part of our family.
