As my nurse, Kristen, and I were waiting for me to have a procedure done, I happened to mention to her what a beautiful view I happened to be seeing. At which point she asked if I could have my choice of view, what would it be? So, I told her that I always liked the tropics like Bora Bora or Hawaii. Well in the next few minutes I went and had my procedure done and when I returned to my room, much to my surprise and delightKristen has transformed my room into a tropical paradise. There were hand-drawn and printed pictures of palm trees, island huts, hammocks, sea turtles, and fish.
Then, on top of all that,Kristen had brought me a vase of flowers and my favorite chocolate. A bag of the little Hershey's mixed chocolate bars. Bless her heart. She had brought a smile to me when smiling wasn't coming too easily. Thank you so very much, Kristen, for being who you are!
