Kristen Santucci is a very loving young lady. From the very first day we met her she made my son feel special. He is usually here for a week at a time and always asks if she can be his nurse. We've been to several different hospitals and she is by far the greatest nurse we've met. She always goes above and beyond for him. From getting him anything he requests to always making him smile every single time she comes in his room. It is all about him, from singing to playing a quick game, to administering his medicine. He absolutely adores her and so do my wife and me. He can be sick and very nauseated, and he will still smile at Kristen before she leaves the room. Words can't explain how much we appreciate her. She is awesome!
Our son has been a patient here for about 6 months. We transferred here from another hospital due to feeling like our baby boy was just a number. I can't explain in words how much the nurses on the Oncology Floor mean to our family! When you are faced with this monster you need to trust the Hospital, Doctors, Nurses, Techs and know they care about your child and want what's best for them! Peyton Manning Hospital has done all of that for our family in such a short time and gives us HOPE our Baby Boy will make it through this hard time.
However, there has been one nurse that has really gone above and beyond and has stolen our entire family's heart, Kristen Santucci!
She feels like an Angel sent from above! She has been so amazing to our Baby Boy. She takes time out of her busy schedule to play Old Maid with him or just chat with him about his favorite game "Fortnite". She knows what makes him smile. When she walks into our hospital room, I feel so relieved, I know she knows our son to a T and I feel like I can almost take a break from being so on top of all of his medicines and the times they are due because she is on top of everything every time! When your son remembers its Sunday and Kristen is back to work you know she has made a special place in your child's heart. It means the world to our family during these difficult times that we have someone who we can trust to put a smile on our baby boy's face and ours any time she walks into our room.
She is absolutely an amazing nurse and deserves this DAISY Award.
