In a world of chaos where time demands and different job classifications keep co-workers from knowing much about them, Kristen has certainly made an impression on me. I got transferred to Cardiology in March and didn't know a lot about the people in there or even how to contact many of the co-workers, as the phone list was out of date and no one knew the specifics. Kristen was literally hired within a short time of my being there and she organized and printed everyone a copy of phone extensions and who was working where. I was blown away by how she came in and took charge of something so efficiently and quickly. What a first impression!
My uncle passed away unexpectedly. He was the only remaining uncle in my family. I came to work and was doing my job but had cried quite a bit and was just coming to terms with reality. Kristen came into our office with an arm full of Gerber daisies and let us pick one out of the enormous bouquet as she thanked us for the work that we do. I just kind of stared in disbelief because she is one very busy nurse who is thanking us for doing a good job and showing us in such an amazing way. To me, she was a living angel. Then on top of the flowers, she wrote notes to all of us thanking us for all that we do and how she is glad to have us on the team. I was already in a shape but at that point, I was undone. How appropriated that Kristen a nurse in Cardiology has such a huge heart! If I am ever a patient here, I want Kristen for my nurse because she has already shown me that she is a living angel and what a little kindness can do. Thank you kindly, Kristen.
