My mother-in-law was in the hospital in August 2016 for 20 days. Kristen was one of her nurses at that time. She was very patient and took time to work with her to help her take her medicines. There were several days when we did not think she would pull through. At times, you could see the worry on Kristen's face, but she stayed positive and kept us encouraged as she worked with her. My mother-in-law made it and went to rehab.
In February 2017, she went back to the hospital. Kristen again was her nurse for at least four more days. She knew my mother-in-law right away. She remembered her name which made her more comfortable. My mother-in-law was really confused, and Kristen made her feel more relaxed. She remembered that she was blind and had very limited hearing.
One day, all family members were working and not able to be at the hospital. The doctor requested a chest x-ray. Knowing that she was too weak to stand, Kristen went with her down to x-ray to help hold her up. It is an awful feeling to have to leave a family member who can't see or hear; alone in a hospital but what a blessing it is to know she was in such capable and wonderful hands.
Not only has Kristen been a blessing not once but twice. Kristen is a wonderful caring person and nurse. Thank you.
