Kristen is a devoted and thoughtful person who gives 100% to her patients and fellow staff when at work. She is constantly going the extra mile for her patients. I remember a specific example of her true compassion - Kristen had developed a good relationship with a family newly diagnosed with cancer. She stayed in her area for her full shift in order to maintain continuity of care for the family. She then stayed after her shift to walk them up to the floor herself. In addition to superb patient care, Kristen orients new staff and is always a friendly, helpful face on the unit.
