May 2016 Honoree
kristi choate, RN
I was in the hospital for an outpatient hernia operation. This was my first experience of being in a hospital for anything since 1966 in Vietnam. I will be the first to admit I was not a very good patient - especially when I came out of the operating room. I tried to pull out and unhook everything that was attached to me and all I wanted to do was to go home! Then nurse Kristi came in and was instrumental in calming me down. She is the most humanistic, empathetic, sympathetic and professional person that I could have had come into my life. I would like to take this opportunity to say "God Bless Her" and the whole nursing staff who took such wonderful care of me!
Thank you, Kristi, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
