Kristi gave me individual care and treated me like a human being and not just another patient or medical record number.
Kristi went above and beyond in helping me feel better. She was calm, funny, and really helped put me at ease during a very scary situation. She made sure I had my medication when I needed it. She brought coffee to my husband in the morning. I was very hesitant to come to the hospital for help. Kristi gave me individual care and treated me like a human being and not just another patient or medical record number.

Because of her genuine care and concern for me if I ever need to return to the hospital I will certainly make CHI Memorial my first choice. Because she showed me that here people matter Medicine has not lost its human touch here. Thank you for the care, the laughs, and the wonderful treatment. You are an Angel!

When I was brought up to this 6 North from the ED, my husband had to go home to take care of our dogs and take a nap as he had been awake all day and night with me. I was by myself. As soon as I arrived, Kristi took plenty of time to make sure I was settled in, and comfortable. When she came in to check on me, she engaged with me and gave me individual care. She didn’t just come in to complete the task of checking vitals or administering medication. She took time with me and talked to me. We shared jokes and stories, and she really put me at ease. She talked to me about my dogs, and treated me like a person and not just a patient.

When she was talking about me to other members of my care team, she used my first name and not just my room number. That means a lot. After my husband arrived she checked on him as well. The next morning while I was taken to have a procedure done she checked in with my husband to make sure he had some coffee and asked him if he needed anything. Her personal service, genuine care, and concern really made the difference.

I was so scared because I was bleeding and didn’t know the cause. My husband couldn’t be there but in his absence, she kept me calm and made sure I felt loved. She made sure I was comfortable, really took charge of my care, and ensured I had everything I needed. She even brought me chicken broth and soda to make the nasty colon cleanse I had to drink easier to get down. There are so many little things she did to make sure I was safe and had what I needed. I was scared to come to the hospital. I am so blessed to have had her watching over us during my stay.
