Kristi loves to share her knowledge with new team members and "seasoned" ones as well.
I want to recognize Kristi for her compassion, expertise, teamwork, and her outgoing personality. Kristi is very passionate about caring for others, which might include evidence-based wound care techniques for a patient, a warm hug for a team member having a bad day, or a silly joke to make someone smile during her orientation presentation. Kristi is dedicated to others and makes herself available 24/7- not just to patients, but to all her peers. During her orientation activities with new team members, she actively engages everyone with demonstrations, questions, and personal stories or experiences. It is evident that she makes a positive impact on our new team members when they consistently provide compliments to her on the post-orientation surveys. When I have observed her sessions, everyone is smiling and participating the entire time... even at the end of a 10-hour orientation day! Kristi loves to share her knowledge with new team members and "seasoned" ones as well. By doing so, she is able to help others provide the best care for our patients.
On a more serious note, I was recently a part of a debriefing session that was led by Kristi. She was so professional, but also made everyone feel so safe and comfortable sharing their experience and feelings. While this might just seem like "part of the job" not everyone can make it seem so effortless. After the debriefing, she spent extra time with a team member, and it was phenomenal to watch as you could physically see the relief that the team member experienced. She really speaks from the heart and loves helping others. Thank you for all you do, Kristi!
