Kristi has let no grass grow under her feet. She is always looking for something to do and someone to help. When it was noted that the non-licensed personnel on the unit did not have a unit specific orientation, she stepped forward without being asked and designed a unit based skill course for these employees.

Kristi is an excellent teacher and is one of the nurses on the oncology team who is noted for her skill and expertise in the care of this pediatric patient population. She is a patient educator and will take the time with new staff to ensure that they know the how and the why.

Kristi is known for her kindness and compassion with all members of the team. The care of the patient is always at the heart of what she does. She is certified in her specialty and informally influences others to become certified.
