Kristi first showed up for the rapid response. She took the time to listen and patiently explain what was going on with my dad. I felt so reassured that the proper care was being given to my dad. The next day, on her own, she just popped into my dad's room to see how he was doing. She noted his breathing was worse and he had strider. She called the Intensivist to come and assess my dad. Before long she had the whole team. They intubated my dad and admitted him to the ICU. She showed compassion and highly skilled nursing care. Once again, she stepped in and explained it all to us. I completely trusted her and my anxiety decreased through the communication we had with her.
