Kristi Oberly, RN

Working in the Emergency Department can be taxing, but Kristi never wavers from giving consistent, compassionate care to all her patients. I had the pleasure of standing by with Kristi when we had a young difficult patient who had just fought staff earlier that day, refusing a blood sample and Kristi was nothing but encouraging and caring for the patient not letting their previous behavior sway her approach towards patient care. There was a lot going on in the Emergency Department that day and yet she sat there and took the time to explain as many times as the patient needed until they were comfortable giving a blood sample. She even asked permission to sit next to the patient and held their hand in their time of need. I am nominating Kristi for a DAISY Award because this is not the only example of her providing consistent, compassionate care. Her standard is a high one and she really shows that she loves her job at PeaceHealth.
