Kristi is a very caring and compassionate nurse to both patient and staff alike. She is a great charge nurse. No matter what the situation she is always smiling with a positive attitude. She goes out of her way to make a positive impact for the patients even on a busy unit like PCU.
On Mother’s Day Kristi took the time to make fresh flower arrangements for each patient on PCU. She passed out the flowers to each patient in honor of present Mothers and for the mothers that passed away. When Kristi was handing out the flowers to one male patient he stated he was not a mother. Kristi explained that the flowers are in honor of his Mother. Kristi recognized that being in the hospital on Mother’s Day is hard for everybody. Taking the time to make a connection by passing out the flowers made the day a little easier to handle for the patients and families.
