After receiving some troubling news, my mother, the patient, was showing signs of distress. Kristin not only made sure to have her anti-anxiety medication available but also took almost a half-hour of her own time to stay and help explain the situation not only to me but to my mother in great detail. After that half-hour, my mother was able to feel visibly more relaxed from the concern and genuine compassion she gave, and so kindly showed her after a very trying day. I was genuinely moved by her copious amounts of warm compassion towards a few strangers she had just met and helped an almost hopeless daughter of the patient gain back that fading hope twice fold.
