I wanted to take the time to let you know the superb experience I had at Meritus Medical Center. The gem of my experience was Kristin in the recovery room. I know these nurses often go unrecognized because their patients are usually foggy, but she was an absolute gem. Not only did she ensure my comfort, but there was an elderly gentleman lying next to me who was very tearful and scared. He told her he just wanted to see his daughter so someone would hold his hand and give him a warm hug. He wasn't able to have his daughter back with him yet, but Kristin leaned in, held his hand and gave him a warm and genuine hug. I was so touched by her random act of kindness and giving of herself.

I know the work that goes into a coordinated team effort and what a difference their care made in my experience at Meritus Medical Center and in my new life.
