In addition to administering the appropriate level of pain medication, Kristin stayed at the patient's bedside to provide emotional support and to massage the surgical site for over an hour while waiting for the anesthesiologist on call to arrive and administer an epidural for post-op pain control.
The patient told Kristin, "thank you so much for staying with me, what you did was the only thing that helped me while we waited."
