Kristin truly goes above and beyond to care for her patients' and families' needs. Kristin's patient was a CVA/ICH (cerebrovascular accident/Intracerebral hemorrhage) that was in the unit for 10 days. His only request was "I want to go to the beach". The patient was hypertensive with BP >200. Kristin got a fan, beach bucket, beach ball and turned the bed to face the window. Kristin then found relaxing music on TV. The patients BP decreased without needing medication. The patient and family thanked Kristin. Kristin showed great compassion to her patient.
