My husband had been in ER for 13 hours, then life-flighted to Springfield, OR for 10 days with no visitors, went to Clatsop Care, then saw a new PCP. He had to go back to ER to get a catheter taken out. It was sixteen days of a frightening experience for my husband and I. I was running back and forth to get my husband officially released from the care center while he was waiting to get the catheter out. Kristin Hooper came out of ER, sat with me in the waiting area, and let me unload the experience. I was so grateful to her. She helped me to relax and get through this ordeal. I appreciated her kindness, care, and concern. It was just what I needed to gain a footing on my emotions and to deal with taking care of my husband now that he is home. I also was so grateful to all of the ER staff for their part in getting my husband stable and pain-free. We were so lucky to find a hospital that had a place for him during the 13 hours it took to get to a hospital. We are also thankful for the YRL, Clark Fire and Rescue, and Medix for getting him to the ER, the young man for driving me in my truck to the ER, and for Medix and life flight for getting him to the hospital in Springfield. Words do not express how grateful I am for everything that was done for my husband.
