I want to take a minute to express our gratitude to Kristin. She was truly a God-send last night on 4 West. When she came down the hall with her supplies, I felt such relief knowing she was there to help us try to “recover the situation.” She took the time to listen to what needed to be done, and immediately shared with the staff what steps to take.
I understand she also stepped in after the patient returned from surgery when the patient’s mother was upset that the patient had been assigned to a different room. She came in to a very terrible situation and showed such tremendous support for the 4 West staff…it is appreciated more than you know. Thank you all very much (especially Kristin) for helping us work through this today as well.
Susan Hawkes, Perinatal Services Director:
Kristin has been with GAMC since 1995. During her tenure, Kristin has worked as an L&D staff nurse, an NICU Float, L&D Charge Nurse, Relief Shift Supervisor, and this year she has taken on the position of Perinatal Shift Supervisor. She is most deserving of this esteemed DAISY Award!
