Kristin grew a relationship with the staff and gained their trust
Kristin Peterson is one of the most loyal and enthusiastic nurses I have met. She is very dedicated to her profession and actually cares about the patients and RMC as a whole. She a great team player and always willing to lend a helping hand. She has even stepped up to assume the role of the interim director of PCU/3W during one of the most difficult times shortly after joining our RMC family. Kristin grew a relationship with the staff and gained their trust along with it, which says a lot about a person. She was coming in and out of staffing with her staff to make sure that the patients were taken care of when the demand for staffing was high due to the patient census. She has shown the core values of serving the patient first, responding with her best, and reaching beyond and pulling together.
There were many days she came in and left to go back home and get sleep to come back in to help her staff on the night shift. Kristin worked very hard and was very dedicated to the process of making the units better along with trying to improve the nursing processes that would help the facility as a whole.
Since being on CCU, Kristin has gotten numerous accolades from families and patients. She has volunteered to collect and drill down on the fall data to improve clinical outcomes for the better safety of our patients. She is the staff lead for a community works program. Not to mention that she has spoiled the weekend team with baked goods every weekend. She is a great asset to the RMC family and a pleasure to have on CCU.
