Kristin took care of me one night after I had delivered my baby stillborn before we went home the following day. Understandably, our time at IU Health North was very emotional, as we began a grieving process that will last a lifetime. Kristin did something for me that I will never forget. Kristin came and sat by my bed one night and cried with me. She didn't try to fix the unfixable circumstance, she didn't try to sugar coat it, she just listened. She cried as I cried, making me realize that though we had just met, she truly did care about me. She shared with me the loss of her mother. She told me she believed that her mother was in heaven rocking all of the babies that were lost at the hospital. That gave me a great sense of peace as I began to realize that my daughter was joining people I had known to pass on to heaven. I greatly appreciate Kristin's compassionate care.
