She is a new nurse, but that doesn't stop her from jumping in and helping. She has picked up multiple extra shifts. As a new nurse, there was a patient coming from the ED. This would make seven patients for someone. She stepped up and said she would take the patient. It was not ideal for a new nurse, but she worked outside her comfort zone, thought of the patient, was patient-centered, and led the team by example. She has a heart for nursing.
