After seeing Kristin for nine months during my rainbow baby pregnancy, I was induced to have my baby girl. After forming such a bond with your doctor during pregnancy, it is terrifying to think they may not be there for your birth. Kristin assured me she would be there no matter what. When that day came, I had a wonderful nurse the whole day advocating for me and when it came time to push, I knew I was in great hands with Kristin and didn’t have to worry about anything. I absolutely love that she considered what I wanted in a birth. I wanted a calm atmosphere; I didn’t want to lay down and push, and I wanted to assist in bringing my girl up to my chest. She made sure I was in a comfortable position to push and gave me a pep talk. Finally, it was push time. After a fast 9 minutes of pushing, through the encouragement of the best care team I could have, my beautiful baby girl entered the world. When it was time for the final push, Kristin remembered my wishes of wanting to help bring my girl to my chest and she let me reach down and be the first to hold her earth side. I will never forget that wonderful and empowering moment. I had the calm atmosphere I wanted and was able to soak in so much loving from my girl without seeing lots of people running around me or moving me around. It was just pure bliss. I have never had such a great care team advocating for what I wanted until seeing Kristin and NBBC. She gave me truly one of the best days of my life.
