he was just overly caring, and we will never forget her kindness during a difficult time.
My son was admitted to the hospital. He was homeless and going through alcohol withdrawals. We had experienced a lot of different nurses' care throughout his stay and felt he wasn’t getting proper care. There were only three nurses during his stay and our visits that seemed to care and go above what was expected. Kristina was one of them.
My son ended his hospital stay in hospice. When Kristina came on shift, he was in an agitated and painful state. He had been that way for about 2.5 hours. Kristina came in, explained, and talked about end-of-life changes (which no one had). She explained how his body would respond as he was nearing the end. She listened to us and got him comfortable. Or you can say as comfortable as he could be.
She talked to him as if he were there, listening. She told him and us everything she did for him. She was able to get the doctor to increase his medication frequency and dose to make him and us comfortable. She was just overly caring, and we will never forget her kindness during a difficult time.
