Kristine Duke, BSN, RN

Kristine had an especially difficult shift today and she handled the chaos and craziness without flaw. She was thrown into one of the most critical patient situations I have seen since I've been in the ICU. She is so smart, poised, and quick-thinking. I aspire to be able to handle a situation in the ways that she did. Through it all, she was able to help stabilize the patient enough to transfer her to Main Campus.

Throughout the day, I not only saw her save a life, but she emptied trash bins herself instead of asking for help. She is one of the most knowledgeable, competent, and dedicated nurses I have ever met! She works with efficiency which clearly showed on this day. Kristine is no doubt a dependable nurse who can overcome obstacles of all sorts. This day has made it clear that Kristine is what I believe is a true Daisy Award Honoree!
