Kristyn exemplifies Herzing University’s P.R.I.C.E. values in both her academic and professional life. She demonstrates perseverance by balancing the demands of nursing school, professional responsibilities, and ongoing professional development. Her pursuit of advanced education and specialized training reflects her determination to continually improve her skills and knowledge.
This student is a strong advocate for vulnerable populations and works diligently to ensure that every individual receives respectful, compassionate, and equitable care. Through her work in behavioral health, she advocates for patients by helping them find their voice, ensuring their concerns are heard, and promoting therapeutic relationships built on trust and dignity.
Her commitment to advocacy is also demonstrated through her pursuit of certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner–Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A) through the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center and the University of Alabama. This specialized training reflects her dedication to supporting survivors of sexual assault and providing evidence-based, trauma-informed care during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. She is passionate about empowering patients, protecting their rights, and ensuring they receive the compassionate care and support they deserve.
She is also a positive influence on those around her, supporting classmates, collaborating effectively with colleagues, and fostering a respectful and professional environment. Whether in the classroom, clinical setting, or workplace, she demonstrates sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to excellence that exemplify the role of a professional nurse.
