May 2021 Honoree
Krysinthia White, RN
My husband had a total knee replacement which ended up with a severe infection that resulted in a second surgery and replacement of hardware. Due to the traumatic impact of the infection, he developed a bleeding ulcer. We were in and out of the hospital and ED multiple times over the next few months. It was taking a toll on both of our mental health. Then, on our last visit to the ED, we met Krysinthia. She was a shining star who deserves all the accolades.
Dealing with my husband's illness was traumatic and even though everyone we dealt with in the ED was great, Krysinthia made our experience so much better. She was comforting, caring, kind, and professional. Krysinthia had all the qualities you want in a nurse or even a friend. After my husband started healing, we really processed everything and looked back on the trauma we had just gone through, we both remember Krysinthia and we shared the same feelings about her. Thanks to Krysinthia she made an otherwise possibly fatal situation bearable with the compassion she showed to us. We can't thank her enough.
