I have been a patient here for many years. I’ve been to all hospitals in Atlanta and you are the best. That being said, you got there because of nurses who have that “special calling”. It’s in their heart…and that’s Krystal. She has been my nurse before. I’m a “frequent flyer”. Every time I am in awe of her gentle character, but she’s top-notch when it comes to her knowledge and leadership in medicine.

I am now 70 years old and have been very ill at one time or another. I’ve been in the hospital since the age of 18 years, so I’ve seen a lot. I was going into medicine to be a vet, but because of illness, I couldn’t, but I’m always interested, particularly in my own care. Krystal always takes the time to explain any questions about medication or general health while I’m in the hospital. I’ve truly never seen a nurse like Krystal ever! She is the reason this hospital has climbed so far. Her knowledge and compassion just beam with her love of nursing. If she thinks you need something besides what’s ordered, she will contact the doctors until it is so. She is always about the patient…not the orders!

I might be 70 years old, but I am a very strong woman who will never give up. You can knock me down but, I will always stand back up and move forward. The last few times, Krystal has made a difference medically, but yesterday and today, she provided even more emotional support. I don’t ever cry and feel defeated…but, I did find myself in a bad place when I didn’t make it home when I thought I would. I did cry and Krystal was so good, compassionate, and understanding. I truly never got in hospitals the caring like her caring and support. She is making a difference in patient care. I know she took care of me with excellence and gentleness. She is a tiger with knowledge of her skill. I know she does this with all of her patients, she truly is an angel here on earth!

Please recognize her and give her the praise she deserves. She’s the total package and that’s what makes this hospital the best! My hats off to Krystal for working during COVID. She’s one-of-a-kind! I know I will always be thankful every time she walks through my door. She has made a difference in my care and the care of all of her patients. I hope you honor her. I do! I’m very grateful our paths have crossed. Thank you, Krystal Adams.
