Krystal Lee's leadership has vastly improved nursing engagement. She has developed a team that freely shares its views because they know their ideas and concerns will be taken seriously and acted upon in a timely manner. She has led four nursing team members to achieve a PCCCM III status, leading the team to complete InterQual completion rate (the measurement for admission appropriateness) from a monthly average of 77% to 96%. This is frequently number one or two in the region. She has led her team to collectively revise documentation that has improved overall patient care communications, and participated in efforts to lead to more simplified rounding. Krystal has strong problem-solving skills, and her team trusts that she usually knows the answer when they come to her for assistance with discharge planning. While it is hard to calculate what is qualitative in nature, testament to her leadership is demonstrated in the retention of team members, her going above and beyond to ensure accurate staffing is achieved, pitching in where needed, and her willingness to step in and assist where needed. Krystal goes above and beyond daily. When I come to work, I hear laughter and see the PCCCMs' enjoyment and pride in their work. I attribute this to Krystal's leadership.
