Krysten Steger, RN

Krysten was my dad's home health care nurse for about eight weeks before he went into hospice and died. Krysten became part of our family in that short time, and we continue to correspond regularly. Krysten and her family even visited us at our home just last week in Minneapolis while they were there for a mini vacation. Krysten went up and over in her wonderful care for my dad.

It started with training us on the catheter he had inserted after his bladder cancer surgery. It continued with steady and dependable care for the next eight weeks or so. Mom had died just three weeks earlier, and Krysten became our feet on the ground in Waupun as our family is in MN and AZ. Krysten would call us with updates, and we felt totally comfortable calling Krysten with concerns.

Krysten literally drove through blizzard conditions to obtain meds that did not get delivered as they were supposed to in order to keep Dad comfortable, and this was very late at night. I know Krysten also left her son's basketball game in order to be with dad when he needed someone there. The strongest testament to Krysten's abilities is that my dad loved Krysten like a daughter. He called Krysten his angel.

Krysten also taught Dad how to Facetime so I could be in the meeting to put him in hospice. It came up quicker than we thought, and I couldn't get a flight to WI from AZ in time for the meeting. Krysten is an amazing nurse and truly cares about her patients.
