Krystie took care of my son frequently during his two extensive stays in the hospital. She truly entails what it means to be a nurse- Krystie was always attentive, willing to listen, and always made us feel that our son was a priority all while carrying a full patient load. Krystie made sure my concerns were heard, the necessary changes were made, and she was always resourceful. Krystie always took time to listen, without hesitation, to not only my son but myself (an RN as well), a mother and a strong, boisterous advocate for my child. She would let me talk through my mom/nurse thought process and would provide much-needed support. Krystie was there for us when we were most vulnerable, frustrated, and sad while we were and continue working on getting my son a diagnosis. Krystie's compassion, empathy, advocacy, and overall patient care were par none and definitely deserve special acknowledgment. Krystie is truly a shining star!
