She has had a profound impact at St. Peter's University Hospital (SPUH) as a new graduate nurse, moving up to charge nurse, clinical coordinator, and to her current position as nurse educator.
Krystle entered the gates of SPUH more than 18 years ago as a new graduate. She has had a profound impact at St. Peter's University Hospital (SPUH) as a new graduate nurse, moving up to charge nurse, clinical coordinator, and to her current position as nurse educator.
With her years of experience and clinical skills, she has mentored and precepted numerous newly hired nurses and nurse externs
Krystle is an active member of the Marketing and Mentoring Committee and plays a huge role in planning and executing activities for nursing engagement. She exemplifies the true meaning of dedication. She is an extraordinary nurse and educator. As the Nurse Educator covering 3G Surgical and Endoscopy Units, she inspires learners by sharing her professional journey and experiences. She has an innate ability to surpass challenges and barriers to get the job done.
Her teaching style put her learners at ease, resulting in a safe environment where our novice nurses flourish, grow, and achieve desired learning outcomes. As a Nurse Educator, Krystle leads the Nurse Residency and Mentorship programs. She enthusiastically plans monthly learning activities for our Nurse Residents and has mentored our nurse residents from novice to expert.
She has conducted needs assessment, developed learning modules, and conducted onboarding and staff orientation, and competency skill validation for novice and experienced staff. In addition, she serves as the Co-chair of the NWESC council and has been instrumental in numerous NWESC initiatives, including the development of the Lavender Cart and the Christmas in July Initiative. She is instrumental in planning the annual Nurses Week activities and celebrations. Krystle is an Educator who consistently models professional behavior and is respected by her peers and students.
