Krystyna has extraordinary nursing skills.
My husband has been hospitalized for 8 weeks here at St. Joseph and St. Alexius. He was in ICU for 5 weeks and the cardio unit, had 4 surgical procedures, on a ventilator for 2 weeks; had severe blood infections. We experienced numerous Doctors, nurses, aides…all with great care. However, Krystyna showed exceptional nursing care from the 1st moment she cared for my husband. She asked him questions about his treatments, what brought him into the hospital, and history of his health and quality of life before his hospital stay. She was very concerned and took steps to help my husband be prepared to go back to acute rehab. She made amazing decisions and it put us at ease to know he truly had a Florence Nightingale.
He has a groin wound vac and his skin is rashed and broken down due to constant urination with massive doses of diuretics and IV antibiotics. Always with tenderness and compassion, she never tired of his wet beds, BMs, and constant needs consuming much of her time. She always demonstrated concern to make sure his wound vac and external catheter were in place, dry, cleaned, skin treated, and comfortable. She brought tears to my eyes that; with the nursing shortage, she treated my husband as if he were her dad. She manages to treat her patients as if she is their private duty nurse. Krystyna has extraordinary nursing skills. She demonstrates far beyond skilled care. Grateful.
