I went into the Emergency Department with severe pains in my colon. I was admitted and had emergency surgery with Dr. S, who had to take out quite a bit of my colon. I am a 72-year-old woman who was scared to death. Crying and frightened and then my angel from heaven was my nurse, Kurt. He went out of his way to care for me and to calm my nerves. He explained to me everything that I should expect with my surgery and after. He was such a good nurse. He went above and beyond helping me, and I believe that he does with all his patients. God bless you, Kurt. You sure made a difference in my recovery.
